- Yes, I have APS. APS is associated with recurrent clotting events (thrombosis) including premature stroke, repeated miscarriages, phlebitis, venous thrombosis (clot in the vein) and pulmonary thromboembolism (blockage of an artery found in the lung due to a clot that has traveled from a vein). It is also associated with low platelet or blood elements that prevent bleeding. Recently, however, even more disease states have been linked with APL including premature heart attack, migraine headaches, various cardiac valvular abnormalities, skin lesions, abnormal movement/chorea, diseases that mimic multiple sclerosis, vascular diseases of the eye that can lead to visual loss and blindness.
As I look at these pictures in a timeline...I can't help to notice how much more pronounced the rashes and hair loss has become. I fully believe I have Lupus. I have a rhuemie who is blind to all of this despite what my other health care team members say.
How come me and my fellow APSers & Lupies can see this?
The lab slip is not the whole picture. Look at me, first. PLEASE Treat the patient, not the path report. I am not a lab slip. I am dying slowly and can't seem to get proper care. How many years can a person spill protein and it be ignored? These are the same symptoms I have had since HIGH SCHOOL. Someone please listen.
In attempt to save time, money in ink, CDR's etc. I have decided to put some of my rash pictures online.
I have decided to take pictures of the rashes and how my skin changes colors since there are doctors who don't seem to see these changes.
I have also decided to add pictures of the facial drooping etc when I remember to take the picture, since the ER doesn't see that either.
I am starting to take pictures when I start turning jaundice all the sudden. And when all of these other wonky things happen.
It gets very frustrating especially when some of this is painful...like the Livedo and Raynaud's. The pain in my joints is crazy.

I still have some nasty people following me around online but I am tired of changing the password all the time. If they have nothing better than to poke fun of me, then do it. Just remember Karma is a bitch and will come back at you 10 fold. -
